Designed primarily as a serving board, it’s perfect for presenting cheeses, charcuterie, breads, and appetisers. The smooth, hand-finished surface highlights the natural grain of both hardwoods, making each board completely unique.

While this board can be used as a chopping board, it’s worth noting that mahogany is a softer hardwood. As such, it may show knife marks more readily and may not be as suited to heavy, regular chopping compared to denser timbers. For occasional light prep, it performs well — but it truly shines as a serving and presentation piece.

You may notice that the join between the maple and mahogany is very slightly offset. This is intentional and part of the board’s design, adding subtle character and handcrafted individuality rather than indicating any fault. It’s a small detail that reflects the nature of working with solid hardwood and celebrating its uniqueness.

Finished with a food-safe treatment to nourish and protect the wood, this board is designed to be both functional and long-lasting with proper care.
